Society of Textile Chemists (STC) 2016-17 had organized a technical lecture on ‘’Reactive dyeing combination selection for continuous and exhaust dyeing’’ for students and faculty members of NTU. The speaker for the lecture was Mr. Riaz-ul-Rehman, who is presently working as a Technical Director in Al Hamra textiles. It is one of the greatest textile mills in Pakistan. Mr. Riaz-ul-Rehman has a working experience of 22 years. He has a great knowledge in the field of processing.

The objective of this seminar was to enlighten the students about how to enhance the reproducibility and selection of reactive dyes in continuous and exhaust dyeing. In this lecture, Mr. Riaz-ul-Rehman discussed the current situation and how we can improve the processes in a continuous and exhaust dyeing. He also introduced the participants to the different ways of selecting the reactive dyes that not only make production processes faster, more efficient, with a higher degree of quality but also smarter by the combination of different dyes.
