NTU Faisalabad: Dr. Zafar Javed, Registrar/ Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has said that National Textile University (NTU) will eventually change the future of Pakistani nation.

First time in the history of Faisalabad, National Textile University, Faisalabad started a short course namely “Associate Diploma in KOHA and Web development” of three month duration October- December 2016. In this program 30 students were enrolled. This program is specially designed for students of Master in Library & Information Science (MLIS) and working LIS Professionals for enhancing and improvement of skills for betterment of libraries in Faisalabad region. A certificate distribution ceremony of passing out session that completed the three months training for KOHA and web development from National Textile University, Faisalabad, held at Royalton Hotel, Abdullah Pur, Faisalabad here on 29-12-2016.

Dr. Zafar Javed, Registrar/Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, NTU was the Chief Guest in closing ceremony and distributed certificates among the participants. Dr. Zafar urged to the youths to acquire modern skills and proper usage of technologies to face the challenges of upcoming era.

Course Coordinator, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad presented the welcome address and said that KOHA is the need of the time and essential software for automation of libraries. Mr. Abid Bashir (Resource Person) and Mr. Shahzad Arshad, (IT Incharge) were also present at the occasion. The ceremony was ended with Hi Tea for all the students and guests.
