Three Days Indigenous On-Campus Training Workshop - 1st Phase


Three days “Indigenous On-Campus Training Workshop under Modern University Governance Program” for the development of Human Resource for facing Global Challenges has been successfully conducted by Quality Enhancement Cell of National Textile University, in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

Aim of the workshop was to enhance new knowledge for job enrichment for the sustainable innovation and growth of the University.

The workshop was focused on performance management, professionalism, communication skills, ethics, team building, soft skills vs hard skills, creating change, leadership and office bonding with the purpose to achieve goals. Over 35 participants from various offices had attended the workshop.

The Rector, National Textile University, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain inaugurated the training workshop and the Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Mr. Nisar Bhatti, in his opening address welcomed the participants and emphasized to get maximum benefits from this workshop to become effective / efficient team members. He also thanked Assistant Director QEC, Engineer Farakh Javed for all his services to make this event successful. Thereafter, the expert Resource Persons including Registrar NTU, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq (Sitara-e-Imitiaz, Tamgha-e-Imitiaz, Top Agricultural Scientist of Pakistan), Assistant Professor, Mr. Muhammad Nisar Bhatti (Expert Resource Person and Management Consultant with 28 years of Industrial and 15 years of teaching experience), Assistant Professor, Mr. Waqar Ahmad (HEC approved and recognized Master Trainer) and Lecturer, Mr. Nasir Ali (Expert Subject Resource Person) delivered seminars on various topics (including Good Governance, Professional Development, Managing Social Responsibilities and Ethics, Advanced Office Management Skills, Advanced Communication Skills, Computer Applications Skills, Team Building, Coping with Stress, Personality Development, Citizenship Behavior Attitudes and Job Satisfaction) to the participants.

The Deputy Director HEC (LI), Mr. Moeen udin Qureshi also attended the Workshop, he in his address appreciated the commitment and interest of the participant and also ensured his full support and cooperation for the development of human resource in future as well. He also invited positive criticism and suggestions form the trainees for the improvements of the program.

In concluding remarks, Director QEC, Mr. Muhammad Nisar Bhatti thanked Mr. Moeen udin Qureshi, Deputy Director HEC (LI) for providing great deal of support towards development and grooming of the office staff of NTU.
