Composite Materials research team  had a very good visit of Anwar Khawaja Composites and Anwar Khawaja International on December 10, 2015.

Our Master student Mr. Ali Raza successfully defended and implemented his research on improvement of performance of Carbon/Epoxy composite hockey sticks with addition of carbon nanotubes in front of CEO and managers of Anwar Khawaja Composites (Manufacturer of hockey sticks).  Due to the satisfactory performance of our student, this industry not only showed interest to finance a PhD student for working on smart hockey sticks but also asked us to help their other company working in the football production/design. Anwar Khawaja International (Manufacturer of football) asked NTU team to start research projects on coating of football to improve fastness properties of prints and on the aesthetic design of football. They will provide funding as per our requirement and proposal.
