The Opening Ceremony of the Intra-Departmental Sports, organized by the Department of Textile Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology (SET), was held at the cricket ground of the National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad, on October 20, 2025. Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood, Rector NTU, inaugurated the event.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Zulfiqar Ali (Dean, SET), Dr. Hafsa Jamshed (Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering), Dr. Abdul Basit (Associate Professor), Dr. Amjed Javid (Associate Professor), Dr. Syed Talha Ali Hamdani (Associate Professor), Dr. Irfan Sial (Assistant Professor), Dr. Muzammil Mehmood (Lecturer), Dr. Shabaz (Assistant Professor), Dr. Waqas (Assistant Professor), Dr. Haroon Rasheed (Assistant Professor), Dr. Danish Mehmood Baitab (Director Student Affairs), Dr. Amna Siddique(Assistant Professor), Mr. Faizan Aslam (Lecturer), Ms. Asma Iqbal (Lecturer), Mr. Waqar Ahmed (Assistant Professor / Deputy Sports Advisor),Sajid Anwar, Mr. Imran Ali (Sports Officer), and Mr. Sardar Parvaiz Akhtar (Sports Officer).

The event marked the beginning of an exciting series of sports competitions aimed at promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle among students. Faculty members and students actively participated in the ceremony, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and unity within the department.
