The government has proclaimed August 5 as Youm-i-Istehsal. It is a day to express disapproval of the ruthless decision by the Indian government to deprive the people of occupied Kashmir of their independence and autonomy.
The students, faculty, and staff at National Textile University staged a rally carrying a message to support the people living in occupied Kashmir. Rector Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain led the event and stated that India had committed unprecedented barbarism and tyranny against innocent Kashmiris for raising their voices for their fundamental right to self-determination.
