The National Textile University, Faisalabad has recently organized a successful plantation drive in its main Campus, Faisalabad. This was aimed to raise the awareness among the students and community about the importance of greener environment sustainability.
The drive was initiated by worthy Rector NTU, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain alongwith, Dr. Zahid Hussain, Assistant Professor, Incharge Horticulture NTU, Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Faisalabad Business School, Mr. Sardar Pervaiz Akhtar, Public Relation Officer (PRO), Mr. Shahzad Ali, Head Mali, and enthusiastic students. The participants planted a variety of plants across the Campus e.g. Jamon, Guava, Moringa, Arjun and Sukh Chain.
With a strong emphasis on environmental conservation, the collaboration Faculty, Staff and students highlights a proactive effort towards creating a more sustainable green future. By engaging key stakeholders within the university, this plantation drive will not only contribute to improve the air quality of campus and surrounding but will also foster a sense of responsibility towards nature among the youth.
At the occasion, Worthy Rector thanked the HEC for extending continues support for NTU and said that the drive will serve as a testament to the dedication in promoting green initiatives and encouraging environment friendly practices among youth.
