On May 1, 2024, the "1st Annual Labor Day Fair" was arranged by the Society for Sustainable Development Goals (SSDG) in collaboration with YDC and supervised by Convener Dr. Faiza Anjum. The fair was inaugurated by Dr. Khubab Shaker, Assistant Professor and Chairman, and Ms. Nadia Shamim, Assistant Director of Student Affairs. The fair aimed to celebrate and support local laborers, daily wagers, and street hawkers by providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services on the university campus. This initiative aimed to assist their financial stability and promote the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals, including No Poverty (SDG-1), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG-8), Reduced Inequalities (SDG-10), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG-11), in line with the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
