The opening ceremony of the intra-Departmental sports program for the Department of Materials took place on December 8, 2023, at the Cricket Ground of the National Textile University. Dr. Khubaib Shakir, Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Materials, inaugurated the event. Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Zakariya Zubair, Dr. Wasif Razzaq, Dr. Zubair Khaliq, Dr. Faiza Anjum, Mr. Muzamil Mehmood, Miss Ayeha Afzal, Miss Iqra Abdul Rashid, Mr. Farooq Anwar, Dr. Zeshan Ali (Sports Coordinator, Department of Materials), and Imran Ali Gill (Sports Officer). Pervaiz Akhtar, the sports officer, also attended the occasion.
