Participation in Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA)


Zeeshan Latif (enrolled in PhD Advance Materials) at Department of Materials, National Textile University, Faisalabad applied for initial startup funding under the Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award. This scheme is intended to improve Pakistan’s ranking in the Global Innovation Index, foster an entrepreneurial culture among youth, and transform ideas into businesses. In the first round, 2200 participants were shortlisted from more than 13,000 applications. While in the second round, from 2200 participants, 250 innovative ideas have been selected and our student Zeeshan Latif is one of them. He received a certificate in the 5 Days “Idea Pitching Training/Boot camp which was held at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore under HEC. In the final round, best 10 innovative ideas for initial startup funding will be selected.
