6-semester BTD students designed Textile Art works from Denim waste

Learners at the School of Arts and Design are always encouraged to explore the innovative and functional solutions related to sustainable textiles and the fashion world.

Denim fabric is one of the world's most iconic fabrics, but it is difficult to quantify denim waste generated every year during different processes.

Students of 6-semester BTD have explored creative fabric manipulation techniques by reusing denim fabric and discarded garments under the supervision of Ms.Aroobah Mumtaz. Young designers beautifully composed self-portraits and landscapes. The drawing dimensions and perspective achieved by the students is a witness to their hard work and learned skills. This concept will be continued in fashion garments by reusing and recycling denim waste.
