School of Arts and Design, NTU, arranged an event on International Women’s Day on 10^th of March, 2022, at the main hall, National Textile University. 

The guest speakers of this event were Dr. Saba Ali, Ophthalmologist, Dr. Samina Zafar, consultant gynecologist, and Ms. Misbah Tabussam, Director Qaisaro Export House (pvt. Ltd.) and Modern World Health services. 

The theme for this year’s observance was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. 

The year 2022 is dedicated to gender equality, to women rights and to the celebration of women’s achievements in different fields of life. In the present day world, without gender equality, a sustainable future remains beyond our reach. 

This year’s International Women’s Day observance was in recognition and celebration of the efforts of women and girls who are leading the multiple tasks in different walks of life and to honor their leadership and contribution towards a sustainable future. 

The honorable guest speakers shared their success and struggle stories with the audience and motivated them to achieve their goals to play a positive for the betterment of society and mankind. More than 400 students attended this event and learnt different perspective of vision and progression. 

The event was closed by Dr. Zafar Javed, Dean SOAD. He thanked the guests and presented them souvenirs.
