First annual, knowledge-based textile conference held at National Textile University under the HEC funded project KnowTex on 01 March 2022. Addressing the participants of the conference, Professor Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector NTU said,“the textile industry is playing an important role in the socio-economic development of people of the subcontinent for centuries.” On this occasion, the  Mr. Rahim Nasir (Chairman APTMA), Mian Muhammad Latif (Chairman Chenab Group), Sheikh Shafiq Jhokwala (Chairman PRGMEA), Mr. Mujeeb Ullah Khan (CEO, iTextile), Syed Hasnain Abbas (GM R&I Interloop Ltd), Engineer Ahmed Hassan (Chairman CPEC and R&D Committee FCCI), Mr. Wahid Khalid Ramay (Chairman CLOA), Engineer Bilal Jamil (Chairman Standards Committee SME FCCI), Sheikh Jawad Shafiq (President Faisalabad Dyes and Chemical Traders Association), Miss Arifa Anees (Country Head Textile Training Saylayni Trust) and other participants highlighted the relation between industry and academia for Pakistan’s textile industry.
