School of Arts and Design announced its Degree of MS Advanced Design


NTU is not only providing technical education but is also opening new domains of textiles in the field of design and business to cope with the future challenges in the textile industry. The positive trend of clothing brands and different online platforms has not only increased the production and sales of garments but also has explored new domains for young professionals in different fields such as design, fashion, visual arts, and fabric designing.

Currently, the dynamics of clothing are changing drastically, and the clothing business is shifting towards digitalization. The School of Arts and Design, NTU is determined to address and explore design issues and train new professionals who would help to bring exciting changes for future success. For this purpose, it is planned to launch ‘MS Advanced Design program’.

The MS Advanced Design program aims to integrate design, theory, problem-solving, research about product design and market. The graduates of this program will learn product design and development, design soft tools, advanced fabric designing, and pattern making techniques, prediction of design trends, advanced graphics, photo, and videography techniques.

The scheme of studies and related details of MS Advanced design is organized by design faculty member Dr. Salman Naeem. It was presented by the head of school, Dr.Zafar Javed in the meeting of the Faculty Board of Studies for approval. After healthy discussion, the external and internal members approved the new degree program. Now in successive steps, it is being presented to the academic council for final confirmation.
