Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of NTU Arranges a Seminar on "Role of Youth in National Stability"


On the eve of 74th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of National Textile University, Faisalabad arranged an online seminar on "The Role of Youth in National Stability" on August 13, 2020. 

The event was organized by Dr. Muhammad Yaseen (Assistant Professor) and Mr. Nasir Saim (Coordinator DHSS) in consent with Dr. Zafar Javed (Director FHSS). 

Renowned speaker, Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani (Chairperson Dept. of Pakistan Studies, The Islamia University, Bahawalpur) and Ms. Sadia Saleem  (lecturer Pakistan Studies,NTU) addressed the seminar.

In his address,  Prof. Gillani highlighted the sacrifices of our ancestors in getting independence and enlightened the true sense of independence. He also made the youth of today realized of their role in taking Pakistan to the developed, prosperous, and the most responsible nation of the world. 

A number of faculty members and students of NTU joined the online session using Zoom. The address was followed by question answer session where the guest speaker responded to the questions by the participants. 

At the end, Dr. Zafar Javed (Director FHSS) thanked the guest speakers and all the participants on joining the seminar. He also acknowledged the role of organizers with the statement "activities like these are meant for Nation Building". 

Such activities reflect the visionary role of the Honorable Rector,  Prof.  Dr. Tanveer Hussain who always wants to see the youth of NTU as responsible citizens of Pakistan. 

Dr. Muhammad Yaseen thanked the university administration, speakers,  and participant for making the seminar a success.
