The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has launched the Need Based Scholarships focusing on talent for promoting arts and culture in Pakistan through the National Endowment Scholarship for Talent (NEST), and will seek to promote fields such as Film, Theatre, Visual arts, Ceramic, Fashion Design and Textile Design etc.

The Ministry of Federal Education have included 15 top HEC recognized and Degree awarding institutes of the country, both from public and private sectors and NTU is one of them. Federal Minister for Education and Literary Heritage Mr. Shafqat Mahmood inaugurated the Arts & Culture Scholarship program on January 16, 2020.

This scholarship was a humble effort in this very regard. Focal Person NTU Ms. Nadia Shamim coordinated with team NEST also attended the inauguration ceremony. In continuation to the inaugural ceremony where NEST has awarded 25 slots to NTU for Design department students.
