DOD, NTU in collaboration with JICA arranged workshop for faculty & students on fashion forecasting & illustration

MS. Sadako Tei is a renowned Japanese artist who has a vast experience of costume designing and fashion illustrations. She is also working as Fashion Forecasting expert for various companies in Japan.  Her major work includes costume designing for Osaka Industries, HONDA, TOYOTA, SUZUKI and NISSAN for their auto show models on display. She has also worked for Gucci and its sub brands.

Department of Design, NTU in collaboration with JICA arranged a workshop for faculty members and students on fashion forecasting and illustration. Ms. Sakado Tei taught how to go through the process of fashion forecasting and choosing appropriate color palette  for each season. She shared her own A/W 2021 fashion and color forecasting catalog with the participants.

The Students and faculty members of DOD also displayed their work. Ms. Tei appreciated the work and said students and faculty members have great potential to excel in field of design and admired their skills. Afterwards she gave live demonstration of developing a fashion illustration with movement in it. At the end of the workshop Rector, Dr. Tanveer Hussain and Director DHSS, Dr. Zafar Javed presented souvenirs to the guests.

Special thanks to JICA for facilitating us with such a fruitful workshop.
