Kashmir Solidarity through Cultural Mella 2020


On Thursday, 09 January 2020 NTU Arts and Culture Society arranged the event “Kashmir Solidarity through Cultural Mella”. This event included the representation of culture and solidarity with the people of Kashmir. It was inaugurated by Dr. Zafar Javed (Director Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences). Students of different cultures participated and show diversity of Pakistan followed by cultural performances. There was different stalls displayed to represent Pakistani cultural values which included famous food and items related to their own living styles. These stalls were also visited by Mr. Muhammad Asif Awan, Chief Officer Traffic Police (CTO) Faisalabad and Mr Salman Saif Registrar. They appreciated the patriotism and energy of students.  

The best stall representation was won by Sindhi Culture and best performance was won by Punjabi Culture. Then best dress male category was won by Waleed Khan from Software Engineering department and female category was won by Iqra Tabbasum from Design Department. Shields were distributed by Convener society Mr Saqib Rao, Ms Nadia Shamim and Jury members from design department. This event reflected that Pakistan is enriched with diversity of beautiful cultures.
