Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of Higher Education Commission (HEC) organized an International Conference on “Promoting Higher Education Quality through Policies, Standards and Practices” in Islamabad on Dec 4-5, 2019. Engr. Muhammad Haroon (Assistant Director QEC) attended the conference. The conference was first of its kind in Pakistan where distinguished higher education professionals from across the world participated. The conference aimed at improving existing state of quality at the Higher Education Institutions through advancing understanding of international quality assurance standards and bringing together international organizations and countries at one platform. The conference also focused on the exploration of the local contextual issues and to find solutions for attaining international quality standards. The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi was the chief gust of the conference. Dr. Judith Eaton (The President of Council for Higher Education Accreditation) and Dr. Susanna Karakhanyan (The President INQAAHE) were amongst the keynote Speakers along with other experts of Higher Education quality from across the globe.
