Ms. Anne Marchal, Deputy Head of Mission/Minister at European Union Delegation to Pakistan, visited National Textile University to interact with faculty members and give a presentation to students. Dr Tanveer Hussain Worthy Rector, Dr Yasir Nawab Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Dr Muhammad Umair Director Students’ Affairs greeted her and exchanged their views on cordial and harmonious European Union and Pakistan textile trade relationships, research and scholarship opportunities.

Ms. Anne Marchal brief the faculty and students through comprehensive presentation about the European Union’s funded research and development programs for Pakistan which included Erasmus Mundus Program (Scholarship and Exchange Program) and HORIZON 2020 (Research and Innovation Assistance Program). She stated that the Programme provides grants to the scholars regardless of their gender and encourages the participation of refugees, and scholars with impairment., eligibility criteria, funding, and beneficiaries among others.

Subsequent to her talk, Ms. Marchal addressed the queries of the students in the end pertaining to application process, winning proposal, timeline, and guidelines for application. The souvenir was also exchanged with her.
