The Textile Institute (TI) is a unique organization in textiles, clothing and footwear. It was incorporated in England by a Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity. The Institute has individual and corporate members in up to 80 countries, the membership covers all sectors and all disciplines in textiles, clothing and footwear. The Council is the Institute’s international governing body, and is composed of nominees from the duly constituted Section, National & Regional Committees and an equal number of members elected by the membership at large. The constitution of Council and the conduct of elections to it are closely governed by the Institute’s Charter and Byelaws. Three degree programs offered at National Textile University are recently accredited by The Textile Institute. Dr.Hafsa Jamshaid C Text FTI has been appointed as Textile Institute (UK) council member in 109^th Annual General Meeting held on May 2019.
