MOU Signing between National Textile University (NTU) and  China Textile Engineering Society (CTES)   to  co-found the Belt and Road Alliance of International Textile Science & Technology (AITST) was held on 30th Sep, 2018. It was initiated by Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid C Text FTI.

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) is to set forth the framework of cooperation between China Textile Engineering Society (CTES) and organizations which agree to co-found the Belt and Road Alliance of International Textile Science & Technology (AITST) and comply with the constitution of  AITST. To build a platform for international exchange, to promote scientific research cooperation, to share innovation resources, to improve the quality of joint training and to enhance the capacity building of science and technology innovation in the textile industry so as to enable the sustainable development of the textile industry. The member of this alliance is not only the university but also industries, association and NGOs.The focus will be technology and science in industry-university cooperation .

AITST Main Tasks are below:

1. Create the high-end textile think tank for the Belt and Road.

2. Set up the international textile technology exchange platform for the Belt and Road.

3.Construct textile industry-college-institute cooperation platform for the Belt and Road.

4.Establish the textile talent recommendation and reward platform for the Belt and Road.
