Seminar on Fostering University-Industry Partnership Supporting Textile Industry was held at Circle Club, Faisalabad in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Industrial Air. The event was attended by distinguished CEOs from Textile Industry. A welcome address and a presentation on NTU Textile Innovations was given by Dr Tanveer Hussain, Rector National Textile University, Faisalabad. The talk was followed by presentation of Prof. Dr. Arshad Ali (CEO, Asian Institute of Industrial Air) on Textile 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution. Mr. Imtiaz Ali Rastgar, founder and Chairman of Rastgar Group, delivered a small talk on Cost Driver on Textile Productivity and Competitiveness. A representative from Gardner Denver,  Mr. John Fyfe, gave his remarks on Invisible cost drivers: compressed air.

MoU signing ceremony was held between NTU and the Asian Institute of Industrial Air. This partnership signifies the unique model where the best German international compressor brand will provide compressor equipment. Rastgar Group will support the installation and optimization of the facility for encouraging the Univ-Industry partnership. The Lab will be used for teaching the compressor related courses, Industry need-based training, and research related to advancement in compressor air technology. Asian Institute will provide funding support for applied research. The Pakistan Textile Sector has the opportunity to benefit from this state of the art facility.
