A Workshop on Smart Environmental Management Practices (SEMPs) was organized by Department of Weaving in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan. The topics discussed were “Smart Environmental Management Practices (SEMPS) in Textiles” by Mr. Kashif Gilani from Cleaner Production Institute, and “Energy Saving Opportunities in Textiles” by Arjmand Qayyum Ajmad from WWF-Pakistan. The workshop was very informative and it highlighted many environmental and industrial problems in conservation of natural resources and their efficient use. Latest Textile industry-based data was presented that highlighted key issues and their solutions. The workshop was appreciated by twenty-nine faculty members from faculty of engineering and technology.
