The Department of knitting is an independent department that focuses its activities on the training of fabric engineers. Every effort is being made to equip students with ample knowledge of knitting techniques. It is for the improvement of the students of knitting department that the department of knitting has formed the knitting advisory board. The main purpose of this board is to gather all executives from different industries on one table for strengthen the industry-academia linkage. Dr. Nabeel Amin (Consultant Kay & Emms), Mr. Saqib Nisar (CEO SOCKOYE), Dr. Mushtaq Mangat (Director Moderno), Mr. Waseem Irfan (DGM Style Textile), Mr. Khawaja Musharaf (CEO K.M. Ashraf & Sons), Mr. Yasir Rasool (DGM Outso) and all faculty members under the supervision of Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid attended the meeting on 20/06/2019 in knitting department meeting room. Mr. Usman Ahmed (Lecturer) delivered the presentation to all executives from industry and highlighted the problems that were needed to be discussed. The main agendas of meeting were as follow:

• Improvement in Lab particles
• Interchange courses of semesters
