NTU signed an MoU with Shanghai Open University to start a Chinese language centre at NTU


National Textile University and Shanghai Open University have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for starting a Chinese language centre at NTU. The MoU was signed by Prof. Wen YUAN, President Shanghai Open University and Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector National Textile University. The MOU signing ceremony had the presence of Dr. Zafar Javed, Director Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Adj Prof. Asif Iqbal, Director Southern Cross School of Business, Australia, Associate Professor WANG Fang, Vice President Yangpu Campus of Shanghai Open University Associate Professor Weng Zhuhua, Executive Dean of the Institute of International Exchange, Mr. FENG Yi, School of Humanities, Mr. WEI Qi, Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Open University, Mr. Zabih Ullah Khan, Controller of Examinations, NTU, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, Director Finance, NTU, and Faculty members of Department of Textile and Fashion Design.

Both universities agreed to strengthen their linkage and to start planning for the earliest start of language centre at NTU. Moreover, a proposal was also discussed to establish a Pakistan Design Centre at SOU and Pakistan Corner at harbour-6 of SOU. There will be more elaborate discussions between the two sides to materialise the concepts.
