Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmad Rehan won Rs. 0.5 million funding for “Ni-SiO₂ embedded PES ultrafiltration membranes for reduction of biofouling and organic pollutant”.  The main objective of the project is to synthesize Ni-SiO₂ by wet chemical method and then embedding this material to polyethersulfone polymer. The membranes will be prepared by NIPS method and performance of these membranes will be tested for organic pollutant removal present in waste water as well as anti-biofouling behavior.  The duration of project will be of 12 months.
