"Awareness & Self prevention about Breast Cancer"

A woman suffers from many illnesses in her life but some of them are currently suffering from one of the most rapidly increasing disease that is breast cancer. Unfortunately, our country has the highest rate of breast cancer among all the Asian countries. Every 1 out of 9 women suffers from breast cancer. The cause of this disease is still unknown but researches are being done to get to the root of the problem.

NTU WINGSSOCIETY raised the awareness of breast cancer among the female students of National Textile University by inviting a team from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center (SKMCH & RC). Capt. Dr. Kashifa discussed the symptoms, early treatments, and precautionary measures for prevention of breast cancer. The seminar focused on encouraging women to start self-examination and self-prevention before it’s too late, and focused on the prevention in later stages if cancer has developed to its full form.

Overall, the seminar provided enough information to motivate women to start taking good care of their health. NTU WINGS Society is very thankful to the team of SKMCH for helping us in spreading the awareness of this rapidly spreading disease.

WINGS Society is highly motivated to arrange such seminars in near future to help and empower the ladies of NTU community.
