Higher Education Commission (HEC) officially notifies office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at National Textile University (NTU).  A team from HEC visited NTU to review the University’s application for the establishment of ORIC during the first week of July.  The daylong visit included a tour of NTRC, presentations from ORIC staff, interaction with NTU Rector and Registrar along with ORIC team members.  HEC officials determined the validity of the application on four metrics, namely, Human Resource, Research, Capacity Building and Commercialization of Research.  This achievement marks the entry of NTU ORIC to a list of approximately 50 officially recognized ORICs across the country and enables the University to dedicate 15% of all HEC sponsored NRPU projects towards a) training and development initiatives b) marketing research commercialization c) networking events with industry.
