MoU signed between National Textile University and Society of Dyers and Colorist, UK


In a recent ceremony held on 18th August 2017 at National Textile University, Faisalabad, an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between National Textile University, Faisalabad (NTU) and Society of Dyers and Colorist, UK (SDC, Pakistan Chapter).

Society of Dyers and Colorist, UK is the world’s leading independent, educational charity dedicated to advancing the science and technology of color worldwide, established since 1884. This MoU aims at providing specific education and training for enhancing employment opportunities in Textile & Color Industry through direct linkage and mutual cooperation between NTU and SDC. As per MoU, the role of the SDC will be

  • To organize and handle practical training in collaboration with the university.
  • To organize lectures and seminars to be conducted by experts of textile and color industry to enrich the training od students.
  • To support in conferences and joint research projects with respect to technical aspect as and where possible.
  • To provide internships to the students as per their qualification and skills and help students in conducting practical trainings at their organizations.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector NTU and Mr. Hafiz Muhammad Tayyab, Head SDC, Pakistan Chapter signed the document of mutual partnership in presence of Chairman of Textile Processing Department, Dr. Munir Ashraf and faculty members.
