Weaving department arranged a competition for the students of 5th and 7th semester to weave fabrics on semi-automatic/hand loom. This competition was conducted as a semester project of courses Woven fabric structure and design and Color science taught by Mr. Muhammad Umar Nazir and Mr. Muhammad Zohaib Fazal respectively. Students actively participated and produced different fabric samples for various end applications.

Cash Prizes and certificates were distributed among students by the worthy rector NTU, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain. He appreciated the efforts of students and their abilities to produce the fabrics, translating the theory into practical application. He further encouraged the students to participate in such academic activities dynamically. Dr. Yasir Nawab, chairman weaving department also appreciated the students and lab staff for providing the helping hand to the students for the said competition.

1st Prize: Rs. 2500/-

2nd Prize: Rs. 1500/-

3rd Prize: Rs. 1000/-

4th Prize: Rs. 500/- (8 Groups)
