Students Showcase Understanding of Pakistan’s Dual Banking System at NTU

On May 14, 2026, the students of BS Accounting & Finance and BBA (Finance) at National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), organized an informative and interactive “Dual Banking System Showcase” to provide students with practical exposure to Pakistan’s banking sector. Students participated enthusiastically in the activity, where each team was assigned a banking product to examine its features and operational mechanisms in both conventional and Islamic banking systems. Through well-designed stalls, research-based presentations, and comparative analyses, the participants demonstrated a strong understanding of key banking products from both conventional and Shariah-compliant perspectives.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished banking professionals, including Mufti Abdul Basit from Meezan Bank and Ahmad Bilal Arif and Muhammad Suleman from the State Bank of Pakistan. The guests visited the student stalls, interacted with participants, and appreciated the quality of research, analytical thinking, and practical insights displayed throughout the showcase. They emphasized the importance of such industry-academia collaborations in preparing students for professional careers in the financial sector. In recognition of the students’ outstanding efforts, certificates and shields were awarded to top-performing teams. Faculty members also lauded the participants for their professionalism, creativity, and teamwork, while expressing gratitude to the State Bank of Pakistan for its valuable support in promoting financial literacy and experiential learning among future finance professionals.
