On March 14, 2018 a friendly cricket match was played between NTU Faculty and Staff teams at University cricket ground. Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector NTU inaugurated the match along with Dr. Zafar Javed, Registrar, Mr. Muhammad Zabihullah Khan, COE, Dr. Amjed Javid, Adivsor Students, and Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Deputy Director Sports. A tough time was given by the team faculty but at the end team Staff won the match by 6 wickets. The members of organizing committee were Mr. Adeel Bin Ahmed, Mr. Jalil-ud-Din Butt, Mr. Shahbaz Safdar, Mr. Muhammad Waseem, Rana Asif Mahmood, Mr. Imran Ali Gill, Mr. Sajid Anwar and Mr. Pervez Akhter.
