NTU Library organized a Five-Day Training Workshop on “Emerging Technologies in Libraries” in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, Islamabad from February 12-16, 2018.

The main objective of this workshop is to update and train the Library Professionals, Scholars and Information Technologists with Emerging Technologies in Libraries so that, they may face the global challenges of this modern era. Professor Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector, National Textile University, Faisalabad was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. Marvelous professional Mr. Javed Iqbal, Director Library from HEC, Islamabad delivered their lectures and presentations in this workshop. According to Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad (University Librarian/ Focal Person, HEC workshop) 50-60 Library Professionals from Public and Private sector universities and colleges of Faisalabad division attended this hands on training workshop.

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hussain (Dean Academics), Dr. Zafar Javed(Registrar) and Mr. Muhammad Javed Iqbal from HEC as a Guest of Honor were also there on this occasion.  

Mr. Mushtaq said that this workshop was the unique and exemplary one in the history of Faisalabad region.
