Department of Knitting arranged the First International Conference on "Emerging Trends in Knitting" from 7-8th February 2018. Six international and 26 national speakers presented their research work during the conference. Federal State Minister for Textiles, Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari was the Chief Guest. Chairman PHMEA, many CEOs, industrialists, researchers and government official including more than 200 participants attended and appreciated our efforts. Honorable minister, congratulated Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector NTU and Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid, chairperson Knitting for their initiative. He also expressed confidence that the outcome of this conference would yield positive results to boost the Knitting industry in Pakistan.  Connected with this conference was a competition of innovative products, called Knit to Achieve. 35 projects were displayed by different universities and industries, cash prizes were distributed among the winners.
