Three Days Indigenous On-Campus Training Workshop for Technical Staff - 3rd Phase


Nine days “Indigenous On-Campus Training Workshop under Modern University Governance Program” for the development of Human Resource for facing Global Challenges have been successfully conducted by Quality Enhancement Cell of National Textile University, in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

Aim of the workshops were to enhance new knowledge for job enrichment for the sustainable innovation and growth of the University.

The workshops were focused on performance management, professionalism, communication skills, ethics, team building, soft skills vs hard skills, creating change, leadership and office bonding with the purpose to achieve goals. Over 83 participants including Executive Officers, Office Assistants and Staff Members from various offices had attended the workshop.

The Rector, National Textile University, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain inaugurated the training workshop and the Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Mr. Nisar Bhatti, in his opening address welcomed the participants and emphasized to get maximum benefits from this workshop. He also thanked Assistant Director QEC, Engineer Farakh Javed for all his services to make this event successful. Thereafter, the expert Resource Persons including Director Finance, HEC, Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Additional Registrar GCUF, Mr. Muhammad Ayub (HEC Approved Master Trainer), Assistant Professor, Mr. Muhammad Nisar Bhatti (Expert Resource Person and Management Consultant with 28 years of Industrial and 15 years of teaching experience), Mr. Zafar Javaid, delivered seminars on various topics (including Good Governance Techniques and  its Effective Implementation, Citizenship Behavior, University Statutes and Ordinance Management, Leadership Styles and Management Approaches (7 habits of highly effective peoples), Change Management (Creating Change), Emotional Intelligence & Soft Skills, Budgeting in the Public Sector Universities, University Financial Rules (Accounting Policies), University Audit and Maintenance Planning to the participants.

The Deputy Director HEC (LI), Mr. Moeen udin Qureshi also attended the Workshop, he in his address appreciated the commitment and interest of the participant and also ensured his full support and cooperation for the development of human resource in future as well. He also invited positive criticism and suggestions form the trainees for the improvements of the program.   

In concluding remarks, Director QEC, Mr. Muhammad Nisar Bhatti thanked Mr. Moeen udin Qureshi, Deputy Director HEC (LI) for providing great deal of support towards development and grooming of the Executive Officers of NTU.
