Karachi, November 4, 2025 — National Textile University (NTU) Karachi Campus, through the SDGs Society and organized by Sir Sami ur Rehman, conducted emergency response and fire safety training sessions to promote safety awareness and preparedness among students and staff. The sessions were designed to equip participants with essential skills to respond appropriately during emergency situations, ensuring personal and community well-being.
The First Aid training focused on teaching participants how to provide immediate care until professional medical assistance arrives. Key areas covered included CPR, wound care, fracture management, and handling various injuries through hands-on practice. In addition, the fire safety session emphasized the correct use of fire extinguishers, familiarizing participants with different types and their applications. A controlled fire demonstration was conducted in an open area, allowing participants to practice using fire extinguishers safely under supervision.
The sessions encouraged active participation, enabling attendees to ask questions, clarify doubts, and gain practical experience. These initiatives significantly boosted participants’ confidence in handling emergency situations and reinforced the importance of fire safety and emergency preparedness. NTU Karachi Campus extends its appreciation to SDGs Society for organizing these impactful training sessions and fostering a culture of safety on campus.
