BS Polymer and Textile Chemistry

A strong benefit to obtaining a B.S in Polymer and Textile Chemistry is its versatility. It allows students to enter a variety of industries as well as gain entrance to a large number of further educational opportunities. Student can choose to seek employment directly after graduation or go for postgraduate or doctoral degrees. We anticipate that the based on industrial demand the number of students graduating with a Polymer and Textile Chemistry degree will be in good demand and will find variety of job opportunities locally and internationally.

On completion of the B.S Polymer and Textile Chemistry, graduates will:

  • have a solid foundation in basic and applied sciences fundamentals and will be able to apply this knowledge to the solution of practical problems.
    • be able to demonstrate the ability to develop useful textile-related products, processes, and/or other systems.
    • be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data related to problem solving in the areas encompassed by Polymer and Textile Chemistry.
    • be able to work in teams and appreciate the value of diversity in team-based problem solving.
    • have commitment to life-long learning and an ability to adapt to changes and developments in the field of Polymer and Textiles.
    • demonstrate integrity and ethics in professional practice and in life.
    • demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.
    • have a broad-based educational background enabling them to pursue careers within or outside of Polymer and Textile Chemistry.

The applicants must have one of the following qualifications with overall score of at least 45%.

  • F.Sc (Pre-Engineering)
  • DAE (Textile, Mechanical, Chemical, electrical, and civil or equivalent)
  • B.Sc. (Physics & Math)
  • Three A-Levels (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and eight O-Levels.

Applicants who have studied in non- Pakistani systems (O-Level, A-Level etc.) must provide an equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen IBCC, otherwise their merit will not be finalized.
