On the 20th of February 2024, a captivating Mehfil-e-Mushaira titled "Souz-E-Junoon" took place, enchanting the audience with its fervor and passion for Urdu poetry. Hosted at the National Textile University Karachi Campus from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The event was organized by the collaborative efforts of Miss Teeba Syed. Mr. Haroon Shaukat and Mr. Muneeb Shafqat with coordination of the Student Society NSS. The event commenced with an air of anticipation as students, faculty, and poetry enthusiasts gathered to witness the literary extravaganza. Poets, both seasoned veterans and emerging talents, took turns captivating the audience with their heartfelt renditions of ghazals, nazams, and couplets. The lineup of poets featured a diverse array of talent, including Gull Afshan, Zaid Sher, Dr. Lubna Aks, Dr. Salman Sarwat, Professor Shaheer Ansari, Yasir Saeed Siddiqui, Iqbal Khawar, Zubair Raja, Noshaba Siddiqui, Arif Nazeer, Ashrat Habib, Arif Sheikh Arif, Abdul Hakeem Nasif, Naseem Sheikh, and Mawra Saeed. Each poet captivated the audience with their unique style and poetic flair, presenting a rich tapestry of verses encompassing themes of love, life, society, and beyond. A highlight of the event was the presence of a special guest speaker Aqeel Abbas Jafri, whose insightful address added depth and perspective to the event. His words resonated with the audience, offering profound reflections on the power of poetry to inspire change and foster unity. The Mehfil Mushaira served as a platform for cultural exchange and artistic expression, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for Urdu literature. Thanks to the dedication and vision of the team and the participation of the talented poets and guest speakers.
