Self-Assessment (Cycle II) of BSTextile Engineering (Garment Manufacturing) Program


The Self-Assessment (Cycle II) of Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering (Garment Manufacturing) Program was completed according to Self-Assessment (SA) procedure of HEC Self-Assessment Manual. 

Assessment Team (AT) comprised ofDr. Bilal Zahid(Professor) Department of Textile Engineering, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi and Dr. Syed Talha Ali Hamdani
(Associate Professor) Department of Textile Engineering, National Textile University, Faisalabad visited the Department of Textile & Clothing of National Textile University, Karachi Campus on Thursday, June 16, 2022 for the Self-Assessment (SA) of Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering (Garment Manufacturing) Program.

HEC Team met with Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha, Director Karachi Campus along with DD,QEC Karachi Campus and HoD (Textile and Clothing Department). Director Karachi Campus welcome the team and briefed them about NTU Karachi Campus and progress Campus made since 2017.

Presentation on Self-Assessment Report (SAR) was given by Dr. Arsalan Ahmed, Program Team (PT) member. A meeting was held on to exchange findings of the Assessment Team (AT) based on the review of SAR of the program prepared by Program Team i.e., Dr. Arsalan Ahmedand Engr. Haleema and last Assessment Team evaluation report. Dr. Muhammad Qamar Khan, Head of the Department, briefed the academic activities and answered questions on SAR. Apart from comprehensive review of documents and evidences pertaining to various assessment criteria, the team interacted with faculty, staff members and students AT also visited program facilities, i.e. classrooms, conference room, laboratories, library, computing facilities etc. AT prepared the Assessment Team Report and Rubric Report (Criteria Referenced Evaluation) and submitted to QEC. The AT rated the Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering (Garment Manufacturing) ProgramSatisfactory.

Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) team comprised of Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Shaikh, Deputy Director and Mr. Muhammad Usman, Assistant Director were responsible for the planning and coordinating the Self-Assessment activities.
