Training Session on “Teaching Methodologies in Outcome-Based Education System”


Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of National Textile University (NTU), Karachi Campus, successfully organized an interactive training session titled “Teaching Methodologies in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) System” on January 20, 2026. The session was exclusively designed for faculty members of Karachi Campus to enhance instructional competencies and foster effective student-centered learning practices.

The training was led by Dr. Muhammad Azeem Qureshi, HEC-certified master trainer and Associate Professor in the Department of Management & HR at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, along with Dr. Syed Aamir Alam Rizvi, Adjunct Faculty at Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Karachi.  Trainers delivered teaching methodologies within the OBE framework, encompassing problem-based learning, experimental learning, flipped classroom, socratic method, inquiry-based learning and blended learning.

The interactive session, including tailored activities, made it highly impactful. Faculty were encouraged to develop a comprehensive understanding of the teaching methodologies within the OBE framework. Faculty members actively participated, asked meaningful questions, and deeply appreciated the practical insights.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, providing faculty members an opportunity to reflect on their current teaching practices and explore innovative approaches aligned with the OBE system. Participants appreciated the initiative and acknowledged its significance in strengthening academic quality and pedagogical effectiveness at NTU, Karachi Campus.

As a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha, Director, NTU Karachi Campus, presented certificates of appreciation to Dr. Muhammad Azeem Qureshi and Dr. Syed Aamir Alam Rizvi for their invaluable contributions. In his closing remarks, Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Shaikh, Deputy Director QEC, expressed sincere gratitude to the trainers for sharing their expertise and enriching the professional development of the faculty.

The session marked another important step in QEC’s continued commitment to academic engagements, significantly strengthening student grooming, enriching faculty development, and delivering high-quality education at NTU, Karachi Campus.
