Blood donation camp in collaboration with Indus Hospital Korangi volunteers’ activity at NTU-KC


The students of Society of Sustainable Development Goals under convenorship of Dr. M. Irfan Siyal lecturer Department of Textiles and Clothing (DTC) National Textile University Karachi Campus arranged blood donation camp in collaboration with Indus Hospital Korangi Karachi. The students and Indus volunteers worked together as a single team and successfully run the camp by motivating students and all participants. The camp was held on 27th January 2022 starting at 8:30 am through 2 pm. Total 33 participants attempted for blood donation in camp. After proper initial medical screening by checking blood pressure, weight, hemoglobin and blood sugar, only fully fit students were allowed to donate blood. Hence out of 33 participants, 22 were accepted for donation, 5 donors were deferred for eating something and 6 left which does not meet the overall criteria and were allowed to go in order to keep their health safe.

Mr. Kazi Munir-uddin, assistant manager Blood Donor Mobilization from Indus Hospital made a few pre-visits at campus also to select venue and initiate and run other campaign and awareness session.

Honorable Director Campus (NTU-KC) Dr. Khalid Pasha also visited the camp and appreciated the Society of Sustainable Development Goals Volunteers along with Convener as well as thanked the Indus Team.
