NTU KC-FDP 2021-22 (Session-I “Effective Teaching”)


Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Karachi Campus has outlined Faculty Learning Program entitled National Textile University, Karachi Campus Faculty Development Program, 2021-22 (NTU KC-FDP 2021-22). The program is based on National Faculty Development Program 2020, National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Nine (09) training sessions are planned in the NTU KC-FDP 2021-22 program to envelope the modules presented in NFDP-2020. The purpose of this learning program is to accelerate the transfer of essential knowledge, skills, behaviors, and interpersonal attributes in following three dimensions of a successful faculty member:

  1. Teaching and learning
  2. Applied research
  3. Professional practice and service leadership

Training session-I “Effective Teaching” of NTU KC-FDP 2021-22 program successfully completed on October 14, 2021. Resource person Dr. Kashif Javed, Assistant Professor (IPFP), Department of Textile and Clothing, National Textile University Karachi Campus (graduated from NAHE Cohort 4) comprehensively covered characteristics of the best teachers, model of effective teaching, kinds of learning, student identity, multiple intelligences and learning with interactive activities.

Presence of Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha, Director Karachi Campus was the source of inspiration and motivation for the participants.
