Semester Assessment (Fall-2020) of Academic Programs of Department of Textile & Clothing & DPE


Quality Enhancement Cell of National Textile University (NTU), Karachi Campus conducted the Semester Assessment (Fall-2020) of undergraduate BS Textile Engineering (Garment manufacturing), BS Polymer Engineering, BS Textile Management & Marketing and Bachelor of Fashion Design programs. Being a segment of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), the semester assessment process consists of planning, conducting, reporting and follow up.

The objective of periodic Semester Assessment of academic programs is to improve the quality of offered undergraduate programs and ensure high academic standards. The semester (Fall 2020) is mainly assessed in accordance with the HEC/PEC Policy guidances on Covid-19, HEC's Policy Guidelines for Implementation of Uniform Semester System in HEIs of Pakistan, Learning Management System (LMS), NTU's SOPs for Academic Quality Management System (AQMS) and Deans Committee Meeting / AQAC Meeting decisions.

The QEC Assessment Team comprised of Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Shaikh, Deputy Director QEC and Muhammad Usman, Assistant Director QEC conducted the semester assessment on the semester assessment proforma, based on assessment criteria, reviewed the course files, interacted with course teachers, lab engineers and HoDs besides visiting labs and library. QEC Assessment Team identified the areas for improvement and submitted Semester Assessment Report to concerned HoDs and Director Karachi Campus.

HoDs and  faculty responded well and are committed for improvement the quality of academic programs.
