Registrar Office of Karachi Campus in collaboration with Special Security Unit (SSU) Sindh Police organized One day Training Program on Self Defence & Firearms Safety for students and staff of National Textile University Karachi Campus on 13 January, 2021 at SSU Head Quarter. Objective of the program was to provide a practical introduction to firearms through the explanation of gun nomenclature, operations and fundamental shooting skills along with self defence. SSU officials presented practical demonstrations to learn safety, self defence and safe firearm handling techniques. Hands-on training to students and staff of university was also given. Basics of Martial Arts were also the part of the training program. After the completion of the training, certificates were awarded to participants by Mr. Maqsood Memon, DIG (Security & Emergency Services Division).
