Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Karachi Campus organized CPD two days interactive workshop on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) System for Engineering Programs” on October 09-10, 2020 at National Textile University, Karachi Campus. Director NTU Karachi Campus Prof. Dr. Khalid Pasha chaired the event. Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Shaikh, Deputy Director, QEC was the focal person. All HoDs, Faculty members, and Lab Engineers attended the workshop. The resource person was Engr. Dr. Awais Khatri, master trainer for PEC Accreditation. He covered the topics of Understanding the OBE system and the terminology involved for engineering programs, Know the expectations of program evaluators as per PEC Accreditation Manual-2014 (Amended Ver. of Accreditation Manual-2014), Develop an implementation strategy for the new system, Complex Engineering Problem, Continual Quality Improvement (CQI), Understanding documentation and group exercises and PEC Accreditation Manual-2019 (Amended Ver. of Accreditation Manual-2014).

The participants were very enthusiastic in the interactive workshop and responded as highly helpful for professional grooming of faculty in OBE environment. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed to the participants. Dr. Khalid Pasha (Director, NTU-KC) presented the Appreciation Certificate to Dr. Awais Khatri.
