Department of Polymer Engineering arranged an industrial tour to Novatex Limited on 3^rd December, 2019 for the students of third & fifth semester. They were accompanied by Engr. Arshad Faruqui (HOD, DPE & Director ORIC) and Engr. Faizan Aslam (Lecturer, DPE).

Novatex Limited belongs to a group of companies, Gani & Tayub. The group is in business since 1948. The operational excellence, experience and harnessing the in-house expertise has the group a leading name in Polyester Filament Yarn, Polyester Chips and PET Resin in Pakistan.

HR Manager Mr. Kaleem Ullah welcomed the faculty and students and briefly explained about safety precaution while visiting PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) resin manufacturing plant. After visit of polymerization plant, Mr. Ch. Anis Ahmed, General Manger Plant & Mr. Naeem Kassem, Executive General Manger met with the students for a brief question & answer session. The HR department collected data about students for future requirements of the organization.

This Visit was very productive and fruitful for the students to know about solid state polymerization and to familiarize with the industrial environment.
