Department of Textile and Clothing arranged an industrial tour of 3rd semester students of BS Textile Engineering students to Gul-Ahmed Textile weaving Unit-4 Karachi on Wednesday November 20, 2019. Industry warmly welcomed the students and faculty member of DTC. A short introduction of the GUL-AHMED was given which was followed by a visit to all sections of weaving department. Students observed the different advanced processes and  latest machinery used there and discussed their queries with industrial experts.

Gul Ahmed has the most advanced Air Jet weaving production facilities, having a production capacity of approximately 100,000 meters per day. The facility is operated by skilled workers under the supervision of highly qualified professionals. The setup has 300 modern weaving machines supported by cutting-edge back process machines. Through continuous improvement, learning and innovation, Gul Ahmed is diversifying from basic grey fabric to value added fabric including all kinds of dyed yarn fabric.
