  1. SYSTEM / SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR
    National Textile University Faisalabad (November 2013 to to-date)

    Responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Engineering of SA-related solutions as per requirement of various departmental projects and operational needs. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project /operational requirements. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Perform daily system monitoring, Verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server
    resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. Maintain data centre environmental and monitoring equipment.
    Monitoring and managing a team of ten professionals as staff to deal with daily common tasks for the institution’s computer labs.


  2. IT Manager
    The University of Faisalabad (TUF) (July 2007- to October 31, 2013 ( 6Y, 3M))

    Responsibilities as IT manager include managing overall IT resources, 6 computer labs, (around 500 plus workstations) , faculty networks, tower to tower LAN in two off site campuses, database management systems, ERP , security control and monitoring systems and training of IT staff and network administrators on regular basis. Approving budgets for new equipment’s purchase, new projects for maintaining day to day IT operations and performance evaluation of IT systems and man power. Future enhancements in the campuses including IT, Electrical, Textile, Pharmacy, and other Basic sciences departments increasing in IT security and Management systems implementation carryout operations with reference to time and requirements. Network comprises of hubs, towers, switches, fibre optic T1 connections, DVRs cameras and complex network both LAN and WAN. Policy compliance and new projects development for improvement both in existing structure and newly added devices and infrastructure for more than 5000 students, faculty and administration, stores and accounts departments/research wings.

    Working as Lecturer / Head of Department IT and Networks at TUF, Responsible for the demonstration and lectures on Computer Networks and computer components conducting the lab experiments and real time presentation of different inter relationship activities between different network software’s and protocol layers utilization for them. Major emphasis was carried out over data communications and encoding and decoding schemes along with OSI network layer structure. Worked on all different technologies and Platforms mentioned in the under mentioned areas. Taught Post graduate and under graduate Engineers and Business Professionals subjects related to programming, operating systems, Systems Analysis, Networks , Network designing and programming. Design and created course outlines and structure for different engineering disciplines and assignments checker at various stages.


  4. Network Administrator
    AM-KNITWEAR Ltd. (April 2004- to June, 2007 (3Y, 2M))

    Worked as Network Administrator / IT Manager in AMKNITWEAR, Responsible for Supervising organizing and maintaining daily computer operation like Network System, Network Communication. System Installations, network troubleshooting LAN issues, Software / Hardware installation and maintenance. Defining the Software/Hardware requirement with its cost estimation. Ensuring the daily secure data transactions, backup and data recovery in case of data losses and damages
