Mission
Our mission is to grow, strengthen and promote research activities in the NTU, and ensuring that the research at NTU is controlled both qualitatively and objectively as a university function.
Objectives
Followings are the core objectives of R&D division:
To plan and strategize policies and make recommendations to turn up the vision and mission of the university as a research institution.
To commend the university management to grow and strengthen the university’s infrastructure, essential to support research across and within departments.
To streamline research activities, and to incubate a strong research culture among academic and supporting staff.
To provide active liaison with the industrial and public sectors to enhance funding opportunities, commercialize research outcomes, and to facilitate technology transfer.
To keep an eye on the research grants opportunities and assist the researchers to apply for such grants.
To launch university research funds for postgraduate and undergraduate research students.
To launch long-term and short-term faculty development funds.
To assist Advanced Studies and Research Board in reviewing faculty research proposals being submitted for research fund from the university’s R&D funds – through external evaluation, if needed.
To provide guidelines on ethical considerations for integrity in research.
To launch faculty research incentives and travel grants to attend national and international conference, workshops, trainings etc.
To promote research collaboration with other research organizations and industries.
To facilitate researchers to publish their research findings at national and international level.
To highlight and publicize successes in research, scholarship and creative endeavor to relevant internal and external audiences.
